November 2014 in pictures

Christmas is just around the corner, and almost at the end of the year. This year has just flown by. I can’t say I’m upset about that though, because it’s been a pretty crappy year for me. If it’s going to be a bad year, at least it went quickly. I’m feeling cautiously optimistic that things are looking up, but emphasis on “cautious” there. Maybe in a few weeks I’ll have some good news…

In the meantime, this was November:

doggie in jail? // Remembrance Day // eating cupcakes for the United Way // Saturday morning grocery shopping // sunrise // sunset // ice cream in winter // a manicure and my book of the month // quizzical doggie

  1. Ah, doggies and sunsets and ice cream. At least it's a nice memory of a short month that almost wasn't- I hope things really are looking up for you! A bad year just sucks all the energy and hope. I think most of us just have a small reserve to get us through a few months of ick and uncertainty. This 2014 thing has not been great!

Hey- did your Disqus go away too, or did you disable it? My blog is totally dying on me (and not just through neglect I hope!) I changed my cover image, and it didn't fit, and then all hell broke loose and I lost my disqus! Grrr. I definitely do not have the technical wherewithal to fix it, particularly not at the moment! Or is the universe trying to tell me something? :) Oh 2014, I'm not going to look fondly on thee either.

    1. I don't know what's been up with 2014 but I'm done with it, I'm happy for it to be gone. I'm definitely in that bit of reserve...and I hope it doesn't run out1

I disabled my Disqus on purpose a while back, it just wasn't working anymore and I just said to hell with it. Sorry that yours disappeared! I'm not the most tech-savvy, especially when it comes to Blogger, it seems. Even Googling lets me down, surprisingly. I did like Disqus for getting an email whenever someone replied to your comment, but I guess Google just doesn't like it.

  2. I am sorry this year has continued to be rough. I hope it ends happily! I agree this year just flew by! I am not prepared at all for Christmas. I have not decorated a thing. I don't know what to buy any of the boys. Why are they so hard?! Love your Instagram pictures. I want a cupcake more than anything right now. And all of the doggies!

  3. I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by, either. Our lease is coming up at the start of February, and I just can't wrap my head around having been in Nashville for almost a year already. I'm sorry you've had a rough year. I suppose that time passing quickly is a plus in that regard?

Red velvet cupcakes are always a silver lining, though!

  4. I hope things turn around for you soon. I think 2014 was tough for lots of people.

Hope you are having a great holiday season.
