February 2014 in pictures

I did one of those photo a day challenges in February on Instagram, and it was kinda fun but I’m not sure I’d do it again. It was a little restricting, and because I’m anal retentive, I had to post each prompt every day and see the whole list out to the end. Maybe I’d dip in and out of one, but not a whole month again. At least February is a short month.

And done.

Books read in February: 2 (The Rosie Project and Fresh Off the Boat), which brings my total book-reading of the year to 4. I set myself a goal of one book per month, so I’m already a third of the way to my yearly total.

Highlights: honestly, the past two weeks have been so crummy that I’ve forgotten anything good that happened. The three-day weekend was probably a good thing. Getting back on my diet (sugar-free, gluten-free, working on getting dairy-free) in the past week is a good thing. But other than that, I can’t wait for this month to be over.

  1. That actually looks like a really fun project. Instagram terrifies me. I have no idea what the heck I would post. But I like an outline. That seems safe to me. And fun. Hmmmm. Maybe it isn't so scary afterall.

I love Little Women. And my husband bought me that version as a Christmas present one year. Your view is beautiful. I like your interpretation of "water," too. Smart.

If you are looking for a funny book, I am halfway through The Bloggess' book "Let's Pretend This Never Happened." I have laughed so hard, I've cried.

I will have to check out "The Rosie Project."

P.S. I love your pink hat!

    1. I love my pink hat too! I felt the same about Instagram too, but really it's just pics you snap all over the place. Give it a go! I'll follow you and like your photos. :)

Thanks for the book recommendation, I will put that on my list. I also recommend "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?" if you haven't read that one already.

  2. I'm going to have to try grapefruit and salt...

I read Before I Go To Sleep and The Cellist of Sarajevo this month. Both really quick reads, but awesome plus Steven Galloway is Canadian.
